El Soñador, 2013
El Soñador is an intimate portrait of a dreamer, Marcos "El Soñador" Alvarez, a blind street musician from El Salvador living in San Francisco. Shot in 16mm and Super-8 film and using hand-processing and optical-printing techniques, El Soñador attempts to cinematically represent Marcos' struggles with blindness and poverty as well as his dreams of overcoming them with music.
